Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) herb is also well known as Knitbone. Comfrey leaf promotes healing of sprains, broken bones, bruises, and sore muscles. It is also a wonderful herbal healing ointment for acne, boils, cuts, scrapes, wounds, and other skin conditions.
Our Comfrey Ointment contains a base of our own comfrey oil (comfrey leaf in almond and apricot oils), and beeswax. 100% pure organic lavender essential oil is added as a natural preservative.
Comfrey heals tissue quickly, and therefore Comfrey should not be used on open wounds unless the are thoroughly cleaned. If the wound is not cleaned well, this could trap in dirt, and an infection could occur.
Rub into affected area every 3-4 hours. If used to heal wounds, wash area well, apply to area and bandage. For sprains and bruises make sure to apply gently. For external use only.
Comfrey leaf, apricot kernel & sweet almond oils, beeswax, lavender essential oil.
Discontinue if rash occurs. Do not use on broken or abraded skin. Do not ingest. Use with adult supervision. Will stain fabrics. Will cause surfaces to be slippery. Do not use if allergic to ingredients. Avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
