Lichen Sclerosus is a skin condition that creates a discoloration of the skin. The affected skin tends to become whitish and then can become patchy. The skin, over time, gets to be thinner in the affected area. If left untreated, lichen can lead to other complications. Most people need some form of treatment.
Any age, or gender, can get lichen but it mostly seen in the menopause or post menopausal years of women. In women it affects the vaginal area, and in men it affects the penis. In both men and women, it can affect the area around the anus but is most often seen in the genitalia area.
Herbs We Use & Why:
- Comfrey: Heals skin tissues
